London Titans FC are celebrating the success of the club’s ‘Transcend Limits’ campaign, which ran from August 2024 to March 2025, raising £9,655 for various charities.
The club, established in 2005, has always been committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for individuals to play football, regardless of sexuality, age, race, religion, or ability.
The Titans offer regular training sessions, competitive 11-a-side football, international games and vibrant social events, fostering a strong sense of community among its members.
Recently, the Football Associations in England and Scotland both announced that trans women would be banned from playing in affiliated women’s football. The ban came into effect on the first day of Pride Month, June 1.
‘Transcend Limits’ was initiated to support and uplift the community in difficult times like these, by transcending boundaries through football.
Over the course of eight months, the club organised various events and activities, engaging members and supporters alike, to raise funds for a number of charitable causes.
Throughout the campaign, the Titans highlighted and supported several organisations, including:
- CliniQ CIC: A health and wellbeing service for trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse people.
- Mermaids: A charity that supports gender-diverse children and young people, as well as their families.
- LGBT HERO: The national health and wellbeing charity for LGBTQ+ individuals.
- MindOut: A mental health service run by and for LGBTQ+ people.
- Gendered Intelligence: A charity aiming to increase understanding of gender diversity and improve the lives of trans people.
- Not A Phase: A trans-led charity dedicated to awareness campaigning, social projects and funding new initiatives for the trans community.
The campaign also honoured the memory of Paul ‘Ma’ Wheeler, a founder of London Titans FC and a pillar of the LGBTQ+ football community, celebrating his life and contributions to the club.
The funds raised through the campaign will be distributed among the aforementioned charities, furthering the club’s mission to support and give back to the community. This initiative aligns with the Titans’ long-standing tradition of fundraising for local charities and community projects.
Lewis Williams, operations coordinator at Not A Phase, said: “As a charity born from the unmet needs of trans+ adults, we know how important it is to cultivate community-led spaces and experiences centring trans+ wellbeing, joy, and connection.
“We are so grateful to the London Titans for continuing to fundraise for us over the past few years. It’s so important for the LGBTQ+ community to come together and support each other, especially in today’s climate.”

The Titans’ events and partnerships officer Ollie James-Parr said the club was grateful to all members, supporters, and particularly its sponsor partner The Two Brewers, whose team contributed to the success of the campaign.
“Charitable giving has always been at the heart of the London Titans ethos, and something all our members wholeheartedly subscribe to, as evidenced by the numbers in which we turn out for our events, donations of prizes and funds, promotion, support in delivering events and the pride in which each and every Titans takes from supporting our community, for everyone LGBTQ+.
“We are incredibly grateful to our sponsor of 15 years, The Two Brewers, as well as Jimmy, Rhys and the entire team, for always hosting our events and supporting them wholeheartedly. Likewise, the many corporate and retail organisations who make donations to enable such an amount to be raised.
“We will always be stronger together, and being able to make this contribution to the Trans community via these amazing charities is one of many ways that we, as a club, say with our whole chest that Trans rights are human rights, that we will ALWAYS stand with Trans people, and we reject anyone who looks to diminish their lives and their rights.
“As Mariah famously said, I don’t know her.”

The club celebrates its 20-year anniversary in 2025, with chairman Thomas Croxall-Ingram stating: ‘‘Twenty years of London Titans FC is a testament to our ongoing commitment and its founding ethos of harbouring inclusivity within grassroots football, dedication to community engagement having raised over £70,000 for charitable causes, and playing a leading role in breaking the stigma that still exists between football and homophobia.
“We are incredibly proud of our history and the role we continue to play in shaping the future of football diversity in the UK.”
London Titans FC was recently awarded ‘Sports Club of the Year’ at the Gaydio UK Pride Awards held in Manchester and was presented to them by Zander Murray, the first Scottish player to come out as gay in the men’s professional game. The award recognised the work done by the club within the LGBTQ+ community.
